After graduating High School at age 16, Waleed spent time working with a local debate team, both to develop and hone his public-speaking skills, and to help incoming high-school students learn the basics of argument and rhetoric.

Waleed then attended the University of Nevada Las Vegas, before transferring to Texas A&M. During his time at Texas A&M, Waleed co-managed his family’s hotel and R.V. Park businesses, while he completed his college education, and obtained a bachelors of business administration in Finance.

One year later, Waleed moved back to Las Vegas, Nevada, where he attended the Boyd School of Law, during which time he worked as a personal banker and pizza delivery driver to survive the first year of law school. Afterwards, Waleed spent two years clerking for a civil law firm, which gave him invaluable experience in meeting with clients, drafting legal motions, and attending court.

Waleed also has significant writing experience, including drafting appellate briefs that have been heard for oral argument in the Nevada Court of Appeals. Waleed Zaman, Esq. has handled more than one dozen state appeals for felony convictions.
